Martin Scorsese loves to feature on his daughter’s TikToks
Martin Scorsese is one of the most acclaimed directors in film history. His films, such as Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas, are considered classics, and his best-known muse is none other than Leonard DiCaprio. And while his professional career says a lot about him, his daughter Francesca has been peppering her feed with videos of her father, showing a rarely seen side of him.
In their most recent viral video, they are playing around and dancing to “TWINNEM” by Coi Leray. The trend went viral on TikTok in 2021, and the parent-child duo had their fun recreating it 2 days ago.

Other TikToks of the duo also surround certain trends, such as the “I’d forgive you but… I’ve already told my ____” trend. In July, she posted a compilation in appreciation of her father with the caption “He’s a certified silly goose.” The video has been viewed more than two million times and includes snippets of her father snuggling a tiny puppy and laughing hysterically alongside actor Robert De Niro.

In another recent TikTok, Francesa makes her father guess Gen Z slang terms. He was spot on when figuring out what “ick” and “tea” mean, but got stuck on “sneaky link”.

It provides a heartening perspective on one of the most well-known living directors, revealing a side of him that is not often seen on screen. Additionally, it seems to be introducing the director, who is 80 years old, to a younger audience who may not yet be old enough to view his most renowned works such as Taxi Driver or Cape Fear. “Fine, I’ll watch one of his movies,” a commenter wrote under one of their videos.
Francesca is a big part of her father’s TikTok success. She’s a talented filmmaker in her own right, whose short dramatic film Fish Out of Water premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and she brings a fresh side to her father that no one else really sees. She also encouraged him to start an Instagram account years ago.
Since then, the director has also joined other social media platforms, most recently including Letterboxd. Letterboxd allows users to catalog the films they watch, create and share watchlists, and rate and review films. A day after joining the platform, Martin became the most-followed profile with over 260 thousand followers.
It appears that Francesca has opened her father up to a world he normally would not be interested in, and vice versa. We know we’re going to follow Francesca for more of the dynamic duo’s funny and heartwarming content.
