Five Ways to Get Influencers to Promote Your Brand

There’s no better advertising than social media advertising.

Five Ways to Get Influencers to Promote Your Brand

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past year, you might have noticed that social media advertising has become increasingly popular amongst brands.

More specifically, sponsoring online influencers to promote a brand’s products or campaign to their followers.

Yet, as popular as this method is, there is still a lot of confusion amongst marketers towards picking the correct influencer.

According to a Mediakix 80% of marketers find influencer marketing effective but 60% don’t know how to choose the correct one.

If you’re at a complete loss of who to go to, here are five ways to select the perfect influencer:

1. Be Extremely Specific About The People You Choose

One very important aspect to think about when using influencer marketing is consistency. Brands need to have a certain look and type of influencer that they want to sponsor for their brand.

If your company is built around a “high schooler” look for example then you need to use the same age group for the next campaign.

2. Find Someone Entertaining

Influencer marketing is not something new and in fact can sometimes get annoying to see repetitive boring sponsored posts on you timeline.

To avoid having someone dismiss a promoted post, make sure you choose an influencer that is unique and entertaining. They need to be able to grab the attention of new audiences and sell them the product in a way that will get them running to the website.

3. Keep Track Of Their Engagement

Unfortunately, we live in a time and place where social media accounts can buy followers for as little as $1 and go up from 20 followers to 20k in no time. However, they wold have little to no engagement so their posts aren’t actually being seen by anyone.

Engagement is significantly more important than the number of followers so before selecting your influencer, keep track of that. Look at their comment section and likes and see if they are able to get a consistent high amount on each post.

4. Make Note of Your Target Audience

Identify your target audience before posting anything or looking for influencers because that is extremely important in helping to identify your brand.

Think in terms of age group, gender, topics, popularity, and so on. Once you’ve identified your audience, you are then able to figure out what they would like to see on their feed specifically to help you choose the influencer that represents them.

5. Work With Them Multiple Times

Once you’ve finally chosen an influencer to work with and it turn out that they were a perfect fit, don’t dismiss them. Work with them again and again.

It would be beneficial to have a trusting relationship with the influencer who would be publicly dedicated to the brand. It would save you the hassle of searching all over again for the right influencer and will instead give you time to think of new ways to make sponsored posts.
