There’s no doubt that Instagram stories have become increasingly popular in the past year but sometimes they can start becoming repetitive or boring.

Once you’ve gotten the hang of Instagram stories, it could be a big new step to creating healthy engagement with your followers and building up your brand. All you need to do is just start getting a tiny bit more creative and put in a touch more effort.

Thankfully, Instagram has come up with five essential steps that you can use to creating the perfect set of stories:

1. Document Your Day-To-Day Live

Instagram posts from business accounts can often seem very professional and polished while stories are reserved for more natural behind-the-scenes shots.

According to Instagram, utilize stories to interact with your followers by sharing behind-the-scene videos, talking about your business story, sharing customer reviews, tutorials, and even to announce sales and product launches.

2. Be More Creative with Adding Text

Social media marketing is all about branding and having something that is completely your own that followers can associate you with. If you want to accomplish that, you can’t just stick to the basic story layouts that Instagram provides.

Instagram shared a number of tips on mixing colours and gradients and how to make your text stand out a bit more that can help you come up with a cleaner and distinct brand look for your account.

3. Add Playful Stickers To Make Your Stories More Fun

Instagram Story stickers are probably one of the best new updates to come this year and definitely make the stories more engaging and fun.

You can use Create Mode on Instagram to add features like mood stickers to express how you feel, GIFS to make posts more animated, and location tags to be discovered by new followers.

4. Interact with Your Followers

In addition to stickers that can make posts more lively, there are also a number of features and stickers that can make your stories more interactive. They are a great way to build a relationship with your followers and to keep your engagement up.

This could be done in a number of ways like going live, using countdown stickers for campaign or event launches, hosting Q&As, using polls, and more.

5. Take It To The Next Level

If all else fails, it’s time to be more advanced by using these three Instagram tips that are hidden but will completely turn up your app game.

You can create a rainbow gradient colour for text, record your screen to create animated stories, and place stickers in videos for shocking contrasts. Simple, but effective.
