The dust has settled and the boxing gloves are off, but that doesn’t mean we can’t stop talking about the biggest event in the history of YouTube!
In case you’ve been doing a social media detox, YouTube superstars Logan Paul and Olajide William ‘JJ’ Olatunji (a.k.a. KSI) battled it out UFC-style at a white-collar boxing fight in Manchester, U.K on Aug 26.
And while you think you may know everything that went down between these two superstar creators, we bet you didn’t know these seven key facts about the fight.
Check them out below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
150 million: The estimated amount of money in British Pounds that KSI and Logan Paul earned from the fight.
According to some sources, the profits of the fight were to be split 50/50 between the two YouTube superstars.
Other sources reported KSI would keep all the earnings from the Manchester Arena fight, and Paul would retain the profits of the rematch in America.
This is excluding any brand deals the pair may have signed pre- or post-fight.
37 million: The (approximate) number of combined YouTube subscribers between KSI and Logan Paul
This figure excludes their following on other social media platforms, like Instagram and Twitter.
1 million: The number of people who watched the fight illegally on Twitch
Many viewers who had paid for Pay-Per-View to watch the fight online were unable to tune in, as the live-streaming website was down.
Frustrated fans were forced to turn to pirated live-streams of the fight on Twitch and Twitter.
21, 000: The capacity of the Manchester Arena.
When the arena isn’t hosting boxing matches between megastar YouTube creators, it’s a popular venue for concerts and performances.
15, 000: The number of tickets sold for the fight.
This figure excludes the number of tickets that were gifted to other YouTubers, social influencers, family and friends.
6: The number of rounds in the fight between the two creators.
Standard UFC fights are normally made up of three five-minute rounds.
KSI and Paul opted for six rounds. Paul dominated the first two rounds, but KSI had better stamina.
0: The number of winners.
While some fans believed that KSI was the rightful winner, the fight was called a draw by the judges. Both KSI and Paul have vowed to do a rematch in the near future.
We have a feeling the drama and trash talk between these two creators won’t cease any time soon…
