On Sunday, at New York’s Pier 17 during a concert, a fan attacked Bebe Rexha by throwing his phone at her while she was performing on her My Life tour. The show was cut short after the attack, where she fell on stage and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
About the attack
The night wasn’t the best night for the American singer and songwriter, Bleta Rexha, popularly known as Bebe Rexha among her fans, who was on a tour for her album promotion.
Those who witnessed the incident at the concert expressed their shock and concern on Twitter, condemning the Fan who was responsible for the act of aggression. They also mentioned everyone was enjoying the show and that the show was filled with positive energy, making the incident all the more unexpected and disappointing.
It is just one of several recent incidents and harassment that a performer has faced during an event. There are other incidents involving projectiles being thrown at stars during their performances, either to grab attention or even to intimidate an artist, with sometimes serious consequences.
A video was captured at the moment this incident took place, when the phone whipped through the air and struck Bebe Rexha in the head causing her to sit on her knees and cover her injury before she was being helped off the stage.Â
Fans are fuming over the person who ruined the whole concert and the star’s experience on stage:

Bebe Rexha shared selfies post-concert injury
Bebe Rexha, who was injured in the concert by a fan, still had some care and longing for her fans who are concerned and taking on the social media platforms wishing her good health and early recovery. Her recent post on Intagram, sharing her pictures made her fans relax and cool down at least for sometime before the culprit is taken into custody.
The singer provided an update yesterday, with two photos showing the injury to her eye and her smiling face, assuring her fans that she is doing well with captions that read – “I’m good.”
After the disturbing incident at the American singer’s concert in New York City, where she was hit in the head by a cell phone thrown by someone in the audience, her mother shared with the media that she got three stitches and her eye is all black.
As a concern of a mother, she was truly outraged by the incident sharing that she was disappointed and this kind of behaviour is a disgrace for the artist. These kind of incidents and fans make it difficult to connect these stars with their fans and is scary.
Following the incident, a man from the concert venue was arrested and charged with felony assault for using his cell phone as a weapon and an intention to attack. The 27-year-old New Jersey man is awaiting arraignment after being arrested at Rexha’s show. There was no immediate information on whether he had a lawyer who could comment on the allegation.
As part of her Best F’n Night of My Life Tour, Rexha is set to perform at the Fillmore in Philadelphia on Tuesday (June 20). The tour across the United States will conclude on July 1 with a two-night spectacle at the Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Rexha’s third self-titled album, BEBE, was released earlier this year under Warner Records. The album was preceded by her successful collaboration with David Guetta, “I’m Good (Blue),” which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in September last year. She followed up with the singles “Heart Wants What It Wants” and “Call on Me.
