Top 5 Christmas movies to watch with the kids at home

Christmas is only just a few days away so we have put together a list of the greatest movies to watch with your children this weekend! Cozy up on the sofa with hot chocolate and a blanket as you spend some quality family time together – and even if you’re alone, there are some classics here for you to get stuck into…

1. Home Alone

Home alone this Christmas? What better film to watch on your own or with the family this festive season? Home Alone is the most loved festive movie to watch every year with its great storyline and the Christmas feeling it gives us. Watch Kevin McCallister miss the flight with the rest of his family and end up fighting off two baddies at the busiest time of year.

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Have you ever been called the Grinch? If you’ve been hearing this term but have no idea what it means or who the Grinch is, you’re about to find out now! Follow the Grinches story as he tries to ruin everyone’s Christmas – does he success? That’s for you to find out.

3. The Santa Clause

*Editors Favourite* – This is my absolute favourite film before Home Alone. The Santa Clause, released in 1994, takes us on a journey of an ordinary man who happens to accidentally kill Santa Clause. After putting on Santa’s red coat he… well, you can continue from there, but let me tell you, it’s truly magical and a light watch.

4. Jingle All the Way

Has your child ever wanted a toy so bad that you went to the ends of the earth to find it and buy it for them? If the answer was yes, then you will love this film! JingleAall the Way is a classic Christmas film with the protagonist vowing to his son to get him Turbo Man but finds that it is sold out in almost every store. Arnold Schwarzenegger goes on a hunt to find Turbo Man and faces a lot of obstacles along the way.

5. Frozen

“Do you wanna build a snowman?” Well, it might not be a snowman that we’re building, but we are wishing we were in Disney’s Frozen, singing all of the songs and dancing with the rest of the community. Go on a journey with Elsa as the powers she tries to “conceal” and not “feel” all of a sudden are revealed to the rest of Arendelle.
