Lifestyle and Beauty Influencers have taken to the video-sharing platform to share ‘hauls’ or lists of what to buy from French pharmacies when traveling.
Why are French pharmacies trending on TikTok?
Among the many things that France is known for – the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre, among others – it is also known for its skincare brands. The names La Roche-Posay and Caudalie may sound familiar.
Some French skincare brands are unavailable worldwide, and those that are available internationally come with a very steep price, urging travelers and tourists to shop at French pharmacies for their skincare treatment.

Alongside high-end French skincare products, pharmacies and drug stores in France also stock a selection of herbal teas and supplements on sale. It’s essentially any tourist and lifestyle Influencer’s dream house.
For user Elizabeth (@elizabethvictoriaclark), it’s where she does the majority of her skincare shopping. Her followers comment about the popularity of the pharmacy, stating it’s packed during mid-day and certain products are always sold out, making it harder to browse and purchase products. “I literally go right when it opens because otherwise, it’s way too crazy in there,” Elizabeth responds.
