Up-and-comer Lebanese-Australian Lincoln Younes has landed a new role as the lead in a biographical series produced by Paramount Plus. From what we know so far, this new show will be highly-rated, seeing that Zac Efron is one of the celebrities who were offered the role but had to pass it on due to scheduling conflicts.
Over the course of 10 episodes, viewers will get to witness the real-life story of the two brothers Sam and John Ibrahim, the latter being the author of the story, unfold to reveal how they end up losing each other while fighting for power and dominance.
Not only are the actor and the author’s stories similar, seeing as they both fled Lebanon looking for better opportunities in Australia but they also share resemblance when it comes to their physical looks. John Ibrahim was impressed by Younes’ acting skills as well as his dark complexion and light eyes that matched the character’s.
Production of the true crime drama is expected to begin next week in Sydney and Younes had his say when he received such an opportunity:
“It is an honour to have the opportunity to play such a formidable character in a world where truth is often stranger than fiction. I feel privileged to lead a diverse cast with a Lebanese character at its centre, and I’m excited to bring the world to Sydney’s Kings Cross once more.”
He also shared his excitement on Instagram with his 238k followers, showing them that a small-town boy can set his own path and make it big.
