Facebook Empowers Creators With New Tools: Here’s What We Know

Meta update

Meta has rolled out a variety of enhancements in an effort to entice creative talent, including new Reels templates, improved Reels editing tools, a daily checklist to help you establish your profile, new performance insights, and more.

Reels

In order to support Facebook creators in making the most of their Reels creation efforts, Meta is introducing a new ‘Inspiration Hub’ in the Facebook Professional Dashboard. This hub will showcase the top Reels trends and provide information on the most popular hashtags, themes, and music at any given time.

Additionally, Meta has included a new Templates Hub to the Reels composer flow to make it simpler to access well-liked Reels templates.

With Meta’s new integration of Reels text, audio, and music options into a single editing window, it will now be even simpler to position your creative components exactly where you wish in the clip on the Facebook mobile app.

Professional Account

Meta is also improving its Professional Account prompts to help more creators maximize their Facebook presence. These concrete actions will help you increase your following while adding a daily checklist for Professional Mode users.

Similar to the alerts, prompts remind you to complete your profile with all information, much to the notifications Meta delivers to Company Pages. Basically, this will provide you with the extra push to increase engagement and involvement while also making sure that producers have included all pertinent discovery information.

Creators to Follow

A new ‘Creators to Follow’ item is also launched in user News Feeds, which will promote rising stars on the app to potentially interested users – providing creators with more visibility options. Additionally, Professional Mode authors now have a follow button next to their name in comments, allowing them to gain new followers through discussions.

Performance Bonus Program

Meta’s also expanding its Performance Bonus Program, with more creators set to be invited to participate in the Reels revenue share offering.

With the exception of Reels and Stories, the Performance Bonus Program allows creators to monetize interactions with public Facebook posts. More creators will be invited into the initiative, which is now by invitation only as Meta tries to increase engagement incentives.

Meta has also dropped monetization eligibility requirements: The minimum number of followers a Star must have has dropped from 1,000 to 500 in the previous 30 days (down from 60). In addition to beginning a limited test that will allow a select group of creators to monetize Reels that feature licensed music from the Facebook Audio Library, this will make it possible for more creators, particularly those who are just getting started, to earn money from their material.

Meta has a huge reach, and thus, huge appeal to many creators, which could mean these are big updates to attract more talent to the app.
