After celebrating the nations’ innovations and cultures for the past five months at Expo 2020, today is all about shining the light on the Women’s Pavilion.
In partnership with Cartier, a series of events are set to take place on March 8 at this pavilion. A multitude of artists, creators, and influential figures will gather to champion the achievements of women and their impact on the world around them, encouraging to contribute more to reach gender equality.
As expected, today’s schedule will be packed and here are some events you need to add to your list if you plan on visiting the forum.
BREAK THE BIAS ASSEMBLY – 9am-1pm; Hall 2A South, Dubai Exhibition Centre
Female leaders, diplomats and business women will get together to highlight the challenges faced by women during their careers in different industries.
BREAK THE BIAS FORUM – 1pm-6pm; Hall 1B South, Dubai Exhibition Centre
In addition to a talk from the UAE’s first female minister, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, multiple celebrities such as Lebanese actress and director Nadine Labaki will share their experience to inspire young girls and women to follow in their footsteps and break gender stereotypes.
AL WASL DOME CEREMONY – 8pm-8.45pm; Al Wasl Dome
This special day will be concluded with a ceremony organized by Cartier, which will feature big names such as actor Rami Malek and multiple live performances to artistically attempt to answer the following question: what makes the world a better place?
