Tips for influencers to take care of their wellbeing!

influencers must be mindful of their mental health

Everyone grows through the highs and lows of life, however influencers often have trouble handling the stresses of hiding the lows from their audiences. Though they are tasked with the challenge of constant positivity online, knowing how to handle the down days away from social media is important for they’re well being and happiness. Let’s explore the different ways that influencers can manage hardships and take care of their mental health.

Breaks from Social Media

Being able to identify when you have hit your limits as an influencer is important for sustaining your happiness online. Recognizing the signs of overworking will tell you that it’s time to take a break from the digital world and posting for a while.

Sign such as headaches, lack of focus, increased anxiety, irritability or worse could mean that you are feeling burnt out. It can get overwhelming when your work revolves around social media but so do so many of your hobbies, interests and personal life.

Identifying times to take breaks will allow you to be your best and happiest self when you are online. Different types of breaks you can take are just 15 minute ones through out a day or even a cold-cut break for a day to go and do something away from your phone. .

Learn to Set Boundaries

As easy as it is to have your work at your fingertips, it is hard to realize when you are doing more than you can handle. Assessing and planning the amount of time you spend working is helpful to control your life and daily schedule.

There is a time and place for everything. A huge perk of the influencer life is that you make your own content and subsequently choose the amount of time you spend on it. Though it may be nice to choose when and how long you work, there must be a personal limit.

Setting boundaries for your time and work space can help set your own boundaries in place. Designating an area where you work, a different device or work and personal and planning out the times in a day you work are all ways you can learn to set your own boundaries.

Someone will always have something to say when your life is public. Receiving negative comments may dampen your mood, never be ashamed to block it out! Unfollow posts or accounts that leave you feeling jealous or anxious.
