On its blog post, it says ‘From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, we’re excited to bring you more control over your chats.”
If you would like to use the new feature on WhatsApp, simply long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu.
Your friend and family will be aware the message has been edited, however, they will be unable to see the message history. ‘As with all personal messages, media, and calls, your messages and the edits you make are protected by end-to-end encryption,’ WhatsApp added.Â
Mark Zuckerberg, Founder of Meta, also commented about the latest update on his Facebook page saying ‘You can now edit your WhatsApp messages up to 15 mins after they’re sent!’
