One of the most popular YouTuber “squads” – The Vlog Squad, consisting of David Dobrik, Jason Nash, Natalie Mariduena, Josh Peck, Zane Hijazi, Heath Hussar, Mariah Amato, Scotty Sire, Ilya Fedorovich, Nick Antonyan and his siblings Vardan and Suzy, Matt King, Toddy Smith, Corinna Kopf, Joe Vulpis, Carly Incontro and Erin Gilfoy seems to be falling apart because of a TikTok trend.
Vlogging < TikTok Lives
This all began when a few members of the Vlog Squad began going live on Tiktok, and as the others quoted “to make money off younger people.” Tiktok has this new trending feature where users are able to go live with each other and battle for gifts. TikTokers have been assumed to be making a lot of money by doing so. The battle consists of an even number of people asking their followers to purchase something from the store to send to them and the person with the highest amount of gifts win.
What was once a trend, now is often extremely cringed at especially if they’re already well-off. One of the members even quoted “send me some gifts and I’ll take my shirt off” – a hard watch for the other members.

Podcast Gossip
Heath and Zane, two members of the group took to their podcast to shed their opinions on these TikTok battles. In which they quoted “I have an actual job & can do an actual job to make money.” They also made comments about supporting their squad members and how they got so excited over a twenty dollar gift – mocking him. They also kept rolling their eyes talking about it. Even said, they have a lot of dignity to ever take part in something as humiliating as this.
Result
So far, there hasn’t been any response from the fellow TikTok members but it’s obvious they’ve watched the video and know Heath and Zane were throwing shade at them. Will they respond? Will they address the hate?
