7 Aquatic influencers to live your underwater fantasy

“Wish I could be, part of that world” – The Little Mermaid.

Underwater

Explore the depths of the ocean, and create small ripples on the surface by forcing through gallons of water as you swim towards your next discovery accidentally getting a hint of tasteless salt water. Whether you are Aquaman or The Little Mermaid living your dream, or you’re a fantasiser, daydreaming about life under the sea, take a look at our list of 7 aqua influencers who were born water babies.

1. Mari Munoz

If you have ever seen the documentary Blackfish, you will love and appreciate this image of Mari Munoz being at one with the ocean and most importantly, watching Orcas swimming peacefully in their natural habitat. Wander through open waters with Mari as she dives with manta rays, sharks, and dolphins in the clear waters of Mexico.

2. Olga Underwater

Dedicated to the ocean, Olga uses her Instagram feed as a visionary way to show how extraordinary and picture-perfect life underwater is. Feel as though you are swimming with the turtles as Olga’s IG Reels create an impactful first point of view, part of marine life. Meet Nemo and Marlin or go deep diving in the dark and swim with whale sharks on a cold and gloomy day. As Olga says in one of her captures, ‘Magic exists, and it’s right below the surface!’

3. Tanya Vangraan

Tanya is one model who doesn’t mind getting her hair wet for a shoot. The free-spirited actress and diver post a mix of underwater exploration as well as adventurous pictures above the surface. If you are an ocean lover, then watch how Tana glides in the water, pushing through currents, and swimming gracefully with the seals. She captions one of her videos, ‘The best way to observe a fish is to become a fish’ and we couldn’t agree more.

4. Andy Torbet

As a professional diver, Andy has made it his mission to discover the most unusual of places underwater… and that is through cave diving. Whether it be clear or mucky waters, Andy is a mix of fearless and curious as soon as his body hits the water. The real-life Aquaman documents his diving experiences in each post and in one, he says ‘Time underwater and on a breath-hold can be very important in competitive freediving but that’s not something I do a great deal of. I’m more of an ‘adventure-freediver’ using freediving to explore places and see caves, shipwrecks, reefs, seals, sharks, dolphins, and more.’

5. Maxime Cheminade

For professional photography, dramatic scenes, and unique captures, Maxime really does make diving super cool. Hold your breath, and dive in as there is so much to see – from a colourful octopus to inside a sunken shipwreck. Maxime’s profile is an aquatic blue haven for those interested in learning more about what’s hidden in the water or for anyone who needs a break from what’s happening on earth.

6. Tiffany Silver

Travelling is part of Tiffany’s mission and she makes sure swimming underwater is part of that agenda. Find your inner peace and serenity through Tiffanys travel journey as nature plays a huge part in her profile. If you love taking a flick through her profile and want more, take a look on her YouTube channel for video content.

7. Elisabeth Lauwerys

Get a variety of images and videos from Elisabeth as she has a little bit of everything on her profile. Expected the unexpected, and that mantra goes for what you see on social media, as well as what you find as soon as you sink beneath the surface. Capturing moments under the water is an art and when you strip back the aesthics of what Instagram feed is “supposed to look like” and see the images and videos for what they are, imagine yourself in the Artists shoes and being there with the marine life. It’s amazing isn’t it?
