How to activate audio and video calls on X
Current owner of the application and website, Elon Musk, tweeted that the video and call option will work on iOS, Android, Mac, and PC. Musk believes that the application can act as a better contact platform for direct calls, due to the amount of people you can connect with in the app. He considers it to be “the effective global address book”.
To access this new feature, look no further than below:
Step 1: Open the Apple Store if you have an iPhone or the Play Store if you have an Android. Search for X, and make sure the application has been updated.
Step 2: After the application has updated, open X.
Step 3: On the application, select your profile picture on the top left. From there, go to ‘Settings and support’, and then ‘Settings and privacy’.
Step 4: From here select ‘Privacy and safety’. Then select the ‘Direct messages’ option.
Step 5: Here, turn on ‘Enable Audio & Video Calling’.
Step 6: To check if it works, open your direct messages and open a chat with another use. In the upper right corner, click the phone icon.
And that’s it!
The objective behind this additional feature appears to be to make X “an everything app” under the leadership of Elon Musk. This means new features within the application will continue to be introduced.
