‘What’s up brother?’ – TikTok’s Newest Trend 2024

TikTok’s newest trend has people pointing at the sky and saying, “What’s up brother?”

There’s a new trend on TikTok in which individuals point to the sky and say, “What’s up, brother?”

However, the man behind the increasing fad is no stranger to the spotlight.

Sketch, Back At It Again!

The gamer “Sketch” is famous for his catchphrases while streaming himself playing “Madden NFL” on Twitch.

He frequently plays with fellow streamer Jynxzi, who is known for his podcast, where he interviews other streamers.

Sketch’s clips of lines like “What’s up brother?”, “Tuesday, Tuesday” and “Special teams, special plays, special players” have now been remixed into newer fads that have taken TikTok by storm.

What’s Up Brother?

The idea behind the trend is for people to approach their significant other and say, “What’s up brother?” while pointing their index finger at the sky, like Sketch does.

TikTok is inundated with males laughing in surprise before responding, “Tuesday, Tuesday.”

A video posted by TikTok user @Turbo_twosum with over 8.4 million views as of April 3 demonstrates the trend in action.

“THAT’S WHY ALL THE BOYS AT MY SCHOOL ARE SAYING WHAT’S UP BROTHER AND TUESDAY,” someone remarked on the video captioned, “Someone pls explain.”

“Good ol’ Sketch is taking over humanity,” another person commented.

Another video provided by user @Samanthaabbo shows her approaching her brother and participating in the craze.

“Is this the true male gaze?,” she commented on her video that’s garnered more than 5.4 million views as of April 3.

“I have absolutely no idea what’s going on but all these dudes look so happy to be participating in whatever trend this is,” someone else commented.

Everyone Going Viral

Since every TikToker attempting this challenge has been going viral, many others have been chiming in. Even teachers are in on it.

“Being a GenZ teacher teaching GenZ is so funny cause today is Tuesday,” @Sheteachesart said on TikTok while holding her index finger up.
