The US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer recently called an investigation into YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI‘s energy drink.
It has been reported that the drink which is promoted toward children is high in caffeine content. Prime Energy drink contains 200mg of caffeine per can, which is double the amount in Red Bull.
Although the drink advertises a warning that is it not recommended for children under the age of 18, the caffeine levels still show an “absurd” amount says Mr Schumer.
YouTubers Under Investigation
Both Logan Paul and KSI have nearly 50 million YouTube followers between them and launched PRIME as a joint venture together.
As they both stepped into the career of boxing, the energy drink was the next step, and it became an online sensation. People were queuing up for hours to get their hands on a drink which is priced at double, if not triple the amount of a normal energy drink.
The company promotes the drink to be sugar-free and vegan, making the perfect combination for everyone and anyone in fitness. Many schools across the world have banned the drink as well as sent out warnings.
