In a recent report by Sprout blog, the chaotic nature of social media platforms makes it seem like there’s no ideal time to post since different audiences will receive and view content and different times.
Despite that, Sprout Blog in collaboration with the Data Science team have analyzed nearly 2 billion social media engagements across 400,000 social profiles. As such, they have concluded that there are some peak engagement times that if influencers can effectively utilize, they will increase their reach significantly. These timings are generally from Tuesdays through Thursdays between 9am and 2pm, varying slightly from one platform to the other.
Facebook, being the oldest out of these social media platforms, is most used for marketers. The peak engagement times for Facebook are during mid-mornings on weekdays.

- Best times to post on Facebook:
- Mondays from 9 a.m. to noon
- Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Best days to post on Facebook:Â Mondays through Thursdays
- Worst days to post on Facebook:Â Sundays

Instagram is the platform most used by social media influencers and celebrities to promote products, reach fans easily and communicate with followers through stories, reels, and regular feed posts. Therefore, it is important to be able to reach the right audience at the right time.

- Mondays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
- Fridays at 11 a.m.

TikTok
TikTok usually personalizes the best times to post for certain content creators and creates graphs to show what times received the highest engagements. However, the universal rule that studies general trends says that social engagement with the platform is on Wednesday and Thursday. That is, between 9am and 11am on both the days with other days seeing less engagement.

- Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m.
- Wednesdays from 9 to 11 a.m., noon, and 2 to 6 p.m.
