Have you noticed a decline in picture quality when you post on Instagram? You could have a great smartphone and still see your high quality pictures look weird on the application, so we decided to get to the bottom of it.

Get high quality Instagram posts everytime
Instagram has an app setting so deeply buried, you wouldn’t be able to find it all on your own. According to the app, when enabled, this ensures you’ll “Always upload the highest quality photos and videos, even if uploading takes longer. When this is off, we’ll automatically adjust upload quality to fit network conditions.”
The setting is off by default, and even after you switch it on, after every smartphone update, it switches off again.
No one can be certain what this toggle actually does, but it can’t hurt to make sure it’s set to on. I’ve noticed my stories get more blurry without it. So, here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Go onto your Instagram profile.
Step 2: Tap the hamburger menu icon at the upper right.
Step 3: Choose the Settings and privacy option.
Step 4: Scroll down to ‘Your app and media‘, and click on the fourth option titled ‘media quality‘. Here you’ll find the toggle to Upload at highest quality. Make sure it’s on. Alternatively, you can search for it in the settings search bar.
And there you have it! Try it for yourself.
