Disabling read receipts

Step 1: Disable Read Receipts for All Contacts
- Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Safety > Read Receipts.

Step 2: Disable Read Receipts for Specific Conversations
- Tap on the contact’s name in the chat.
- Visit Read Receipts and turn off “Show Read Receipts.
Facebook message editing
Facebook Messenger now allows you to edit messages within a 15-minute window after sending. This feature, borrowed from other messaging apps, enables you to correct mistakes or adjust your message without a visible edit history.
Step 1: Edit Messages on the App
- Tap and hold the message you want to edit.
- Select the “Edit” button to make changes.
Step 2: Edit Messages on the Web
- Click the three dots next to the message.
- Choose “Edit” to modify your sent message.
