Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn
Lady Gaga reveals that her version of Harley Quinn in the new Joker, previously played by Margot Robbie, will be a “unique role” to her. The Oscar winning singer & actress told the “Access Hollywood” new outlet that her verison of Harley is hers, “and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters.” The star added: “I’ve never done anything like I’ve done in this movie before, so it’s all going to be completely brand new and really fun.”
Gaga’s portrayal of the infamous character will be its third contemporary iteration – where Margot Robbie first portrayed Harley Quinn in the “Suicide Squad” and “Birds of Prey” films within the DC Extended Universe, while Kaley Cuoco provides the voice for the villain in HBO Max’s animated series, “Harley Quinn.” Last June, Lady Gaga was announced as the Harley star in the upcoming movie and we can’t wait to see what she makes of it. The Joker sequel will come on the heels of her performance in 2021’s “House of Gucci” and her Oscar-nominated role in the 2018 remake of “A Star Is Born.” Both movies set the standards high for Lady Gaga who has become a fan-favorite and is now expected to take the Joker’s sequel to the next level. Some fans are even expecting her to carry away the “Best Supporting Actress Oscar”.
Margot Robbie, also known as the previous Harley Quinn, claims Lady Gaga will crush the role with X users agreeing in saying that Lady Gaga even looks like the character.
