In an initiative to celebrate the symbiosis between social media and brand growth, TikTok and Influential, the world’s largest influencer marketing company, joined forces to present the inaugural TikTok Influential Awards. The event took place on Tuesday, June 18, during the Cannes Lions festival.

Hosted by TikTok sensation Josh Richards, the awards honored brand CMOs who have seamlessly integrated TikTok into their marketing strategies, showcasing their innovative approaches to engaging audiences.

Melissa Yang, TikTok’s Global Head of Marketing Partnerships and Industry Education, echoed Detert’s enthusiasm. “TikTok is redefining entertainment, giving brands a platform to become creative and compelling storytellers,” she said. “Brands are continuously pushing boundaries, creating engaging, fun, and impactful content that resonates with the TikTok community and drives action. We are honored to partner with Influential to celebrate these trailblazing brands and CMOs.”

The two-hour awards ceremony at Influential Beach was a star-studded affair, featuring popular TikTok creators like Natalie Mariduena, Matt Steffanina, Steven He, Rapping Chef, Ian Boggs, and more. These influencers presented awards across 12 unique categories, each recognizing a different aspect of innovative marketing on TikTok.

Among the notable winners were Esi Eggleston, CMO of Unilever, who took home the Vibey award for keeping their brands TikTok-famous, and Tammy Henault who received the Sheesh award for delivering continuous action.
