Want your followers to see a particular post on your Instagram feed?
Well guess what, the platform has officially announced that you can pin posts on your profile!
Instagram revealed in April that they were developing a feature that would allow users to personalize their profile pages by pinning up to three posts of their preference to the top of their page.
Finally, just this week, Instagram Head – Adam Mosseri confirmed the feature is currently active.
The great news is, this is not solely limited to just posts like photos but you also have the creative ability to pin Reels, which are the platform’s most popular feature at the moment.
As stated by the platform themselves:
“You can now pin up to three posts (photos or Reels) to remain at the top of your profile grid, giving creators more flexibility to express themselves on their profiles. Starting today, the feature will be available globally to all users.”
Moreover, there are current discussion taking place regarding the ability to move posts around on your feed.
The ‘Edit Grid’ option would appear via your profile settings, allowing you to rearrange your feed gallery as you like best – despite when a particular post or video was shared.
These are all fantastic initiatives for creators and brands on the platform to unleash their full creative potential and maximize the overall appeal of their page.
How to pin on Instagram feed
In order to pin a post, all you have to do is:
- Tap the 3 dots beside to any post or Reel
- Click on the option ‘Pin to your profile’
This is all indicative of Instagram’s decision to want to move towards a fully immersive, wider-display video sharing application (much like TikTok).
