trendier instagram tips

Always post vertical

Tip No. 1 is to keep the posts to vertical content. This is to avoid the borders when posting things on your Instagram Story. The borders can take away from the viewing experience and having a fully vertical post is way cooler. In addition to this, when posting a video to your Story keep it 10 seconds or under. We are living in a fast-paced society that would rather skip long videos or watch them at 2x speed. Also, if you’re posting a picture try and take the picture at 0.5 zoomed, this zoom feature makes you feel like you’re not taking yourself too seriously and lets out a quirkier aesthetic.

Use the right fonts

This one is for your IG Stories. What is typically and most popularly used is the Serif font. This is for a cleaner touch to your Stories. Moreover, DO NOT slant your text, doing this can make your post look messier and can take away from whatever you’re posting.

Try not to rely too much on Instagram filters

While Instagram has worked to improve its filters you can rely on them too much. Viewers can easily point out a Mayfair or Gingham filter, and as an influencer, you would want to have a neater, more realistic almost unfiltered look.

AVOID GIFs

Privately and in messages GIFs are fine but avoid using them on your posts. According to a lot of Gen Z in social media, it is not in style.

Color Match Your Stories

All for a visually aesthetic touch, users can use the drawing tool when reposting something to your Story and with the color drop, pick a color from the post and set the background to that color. Today’s posts are about removing the visual noise from your IG Stories.

Post in numbers

Use the excuse of a monthly picture drop, or an album dedicated to whatever reason, you can use Instagram’s album feature that allows you to select multiple pictures and pick up to ten, unfiltered looking and 0.5 zoomed, pictures like a collection of memories in one post. All the pictures or videos in that one post do not necessarily need to be coherent but they can act as a neat album.
